Legionella Testing- Vermont’s state code does not include ASHRAE 188. ASHRAE 188 establishes the minimum standard for water treatment to prevent diseases such as those caused by Legionella species. These bacteria can cause Legionnaires’ disease, a serious type of pneumonia. Infection occurs primarily through inhalation of contaminated water droplets from sources such as cooling towers, hot tubs, and plumbing systems. These bacteria thrive in warm water environments, making proper maintenance of water systems crucial to prevent outbreaks. The overall liability and risk from contracting Legionella for business owners is very high. The state of Vermont does not have a cap on Jury Awards, this leaves businesses, especially small business owners, at risk of costly legal fees and settlement payments. With proper testing and preventative maintenance, you can put your mind at ease knowing you are keeping your customers and business safe from these potentially fatal bacteria.

We offer three yearly service contract options. Our Level 1 option allows you to pick what services you want and need. Our level 2 and 3 options provide you with a discount on the services provided. We also offer an optional Legionella service that can be done as a stand-alone or added option to our level 1, 2, and 3 service contracts.
Level 3: includes an annual startup and shutdown of your system. During fall/winter we will drain the chiller and use a tube machine to thoroughly clean the bundles. We will do a full system clean with environmentally friendly biocide to eliminate any unwanted micro bacteria, remove sediment and treat for hard water buildup. This cleaning service includes cleaning the system, plate heat exchanger, cooling tower (if applicable), water treatment services, and Fill cleaning. We will perform preventative maintenance on your HVAC system by replacing bolts, oil, air filters, and checking contactor and pump conditions. This premium service contract also includes two free leak inspections per year, two free diagnostic calls, and free filter replacement. Our Premium Service contract ensures that your system will run as efficiently as possible, which will reduce operating costs and reduce system failures. Diagnostic and/or Emergency calls will be billed at an hourly rate starting with the third call until contract renewal.
